Privacy Policy

This website is operated by Hanifan Hollow Anglers Club, a private club based at 3544 Hanifan Lane, Duluth, GA 30136. The contact for all privacy matters is Clyde Bruni, reachable at privacy@fishinandspittin.com.

We collect very little. Specifically:

• Information you give us — your name, email address, and message when you fill out the contact form or subscribe to the Hollow Letter.
• Information collected automatically — basic server log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referrer) collected by our hosting provider for security and uptime purposes.
• Cookies — see our Cookie Policy for the full list. We use only essential and analytics cookies, and we ask before setting non-essential ones.

We use your information only to:

• Reply to messages you send us.
• Send you the Hollow Letter, if you subscribed.
• Keep the website running and secure.
• Understand which articles people read most, so we can write more of what works.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any reason.

If you're visiting from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases: (a) your consent, when you subscribe to the newsletter or accept non-essential cookies; (b) our legitimate interest in operating a secure website and replying to inquiries; and (c) compliance with a legal obligation, where applicable.

Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for 90 days.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export any personal data we hold about you. Residents of California (under the CCPA), the EU/UK (under GDPR), and similar jurisdictions have additional rights, including the right to opt out of sale (we don't sell data) and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We use the following third parties to operate the site: a web hosting provider, an email delivery service for the Hollow Letter, and Google Fonts for typography. Each has its own privacy policy. We do not embed third-party advertising or social media tracking.

We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS encryption in transit. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
